If you’re dreaming of great coffee, productive workspaces, and relaxed vibes, Kigali is a destination worth adding to your travel list. During my 14‑day stay in Rwanda, I visited 15 different cafes around Kigali. I discovered plenty of spots perfect for remote work or long coffee sessions.

☕ Why Rwandan Coffee Is So Special

Rwanda’s coffee is world‑class. Grown at high altitude in volcanic soil, much of it is single‑estate Arabica with bright fruitiness and a smooth finish. In recent years, Rwanda has emerged as a thriving coffee hub with a blossoming third‑wave cafe scene that blends quality beans, creative baristas, and welcoming spaces for locals, travelers, and expats alike.
